Week of 1/30


Dear Parents,

Happy Catholic Schools Week! We have a fun week planned with lots of activities! You can find all the information you need below. Valentine's Day information is also posted below!

- There will be a spelling and reading test on Friday this week.

- Dismissal is at 12:00 pm on Friday!

- Some special Catholic Schools Week notes:

*Send in canned goods and coats all week!*

Monday (1/30) - dress down (no charge) in orange

Tuesday (1/31) - Crazy 8's Day - accessorize your school uniform with 8 items (shoes, jewelry, socks, hats, sunglasses etc)!

Wednesday (2/1) - Beach theme day! Dress in your best beach gear! Please so bathing suits.

Thursday (2/2) - Hero Day - dress as your favorite hero!

Friday (2/3) - Blue and White Spirit Day! Dismissal at 12:00 pm.

Valentine's Day info:

- please have all valentines sent to school no later than Friday, February 10th. Small gifts are fine but please no candy!


Homework

- There will be no written homework this week! Please just review for the reading and spelling test and read for 10-15 minutes each night

We will continue practicing skip counting by 10s, 5s and 2s! We will focus on counting backwards this week and also start learning about odd and even numbers.

Week of 1/23

The kids got back into their bag of books and practiced reading aloud 
to their stuffies and into their reading phones!

Dear Parents,

The kids have been doing really well with memorizing the long vowel patterns and spelling words. I know these words are harder and trickier but the kids have been finding the different patterns we have learned so far everywhere! There will only be 8 spelling words this week. We have another full we before Catholic Schools Week starts on Sunday. Look below for an outline of what to expect!

Here are the reminders for the week:

- We will have a math test on 10 more/less and 1 more/less on Tuesday. A review will be sent home for homework tonight. The kids have been doing great with this!

- We will have a Religion test on Chapter 9 on Friday. A study guide was sent home today.

- Tests folders will be sent home on Wednesday. Please sign and return them on Thursday. 

- Catholic Schools Week begins at Mass on Sunday! Be on the look out for an email with more detailed information.

- Friday will be a free Eagles dress down day! Go Birds!

Some special notes:

* Send in canned goods for the Souper Bowl of Caring all week!

* Send in winter coats all week- more information will be emailed home about this

Week of 1/16

Dear Parents,

I hope you had a nice long weekend! Last week we talked about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and why he is an important part of history and a great role model! Thank you for all of your donations for yesterday! We have a pretty quiet week!

Here are the reminders:

- Our Monthly Mass will be this Wednesday at 9:00 am. All are welcome! Please remember that Blue and White Passes should not be used on Mass days.

- We will have a reading and spelling test this Friday on the story and words for "Seasons".

- With getting back into the swing of things please have your child try and remember their library book on Thursdays. Mrs. DAgostino is still missing quite a few.

Week of 1/9

We practiced greater than and less than using our alligator friends!

The kids are getting the hang of the different signs!

Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a nice weekend! There are a few things going on this week so please be sure to read through! Here are your reminders:

- We did a supply check today. Lots of kids are in need of new sharpened pencils, glues sticks, crayons etc. If you could check with your child this week and grab some new supplies in the next week or two that would be great!

- Test folders will be sent home tomorrow. Please sign and return on Wednesday. Thank you!

- The first grade is collecting shampoo for the MLK Day of Service on Monday, 1/16. If you would like to donate some please send it in by Friday!

- With the cold weather, please be sure to mark all outerwear with your child's name!

- Spelling words will increase from 8 to 10 this week! They have been doing an excellent job with these!

- Wednesday is a Dress Down Day. Please send in $1.00 to dress down. Thank you!

- Thursday is picture retake day.

- There will be a Religion test on Chapter 8 on Friday. A study guide will be sent home today.

- There is no school on Monday, January 18th for MLK Day.

Week of 1/3


I can't thank you and the students enough
for thinking of me last week:)

The students had a blast with their 8th grade buddies before break began!

It got everyone in the festive mood to kick off the holiday break!

I hope the kids had a great time!

Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a great break! Thank you so much for your generous Christmas gifts. The entire faculty and staff truly appreciate your kindness and generosity. I also want to thank you for the beautiful flowers that arrived to my house last week for my grandfather, it was so kind of you and the kids to think of me!  This week we will be working at getting back into our normal routine in reading, math and homework!
