Last week we celebrated Earth Day and learned about how to reduce our waste!


Dear Parents,

I hope you had a nice long weekend! Spring fever is definitely setting in but we will try to finish this last week in April strong and continue it into May to finish the year! Here are the reminders for this week:

- Test folders will be sent home tomorrow. Please sign and return on Thursday.

- Important dates for May/June:
- No School Thursday, May 13th - Feast of the Ascension
- Tuesday, May 18th - Virtual May Procession
- Tuesday, May 25th - First grade Mass at 9:00 am (Virtual for school but parents are welcome)
- No school Thursday, 5/27th - Monday, 5/31st. School resumes Tuesday, June 1st.
- Tuesday, June 8th - Doughnuts with Dudes at 8:30 am (weather permitting)

Week of 4/19

Dear Parents,

We have another busy full week before a nice 3 day weekend! Last week, each child and I picked 5-8 books for them to keep in their book bags that they can read throughout the day. They were so excited about this! They are welcome to bring in 2 or 3 books from home to add to their box. We will be picking new books every other week!


Here are the reminders for this week:

- There will be a dress down day on Wednesday for Butterfly Baskets, a wonderful organization that helps mothers who have experienced the loss of a child. - There will be a Religion test on Chapter 16 on Thursday on the 7 sacraments. A study guide will be sent home today.

- There will be a reading and spelling test on Friday this week.

- Monday, April 26th will be an asynchronous day! Work for Monday will be sent out in an email Sunday night.

Week of 4/12

Julianna celebrated her 7th birthday on Easter Sunday!

Last week she was able to celebrate in room 4!


Dear Parents,

We have two full weeks ahead! It will be a nice long stretch as we prepare to go into a busy May and June. Here are your reminders for this week:

- Spring uniforms start today. Please make sure to label your child's quarter zip and outerwear!

- Test folders will be sent home tomorrow. Please sign and return on Wednesday.

- We will have a math test on graphing on Friday. A review will be sent home for homework on Thursday.

- The SKS Cub Scouts are collecting non-perishable foods all week for The Veteran's Group of Philadelphia. You may send canned foods in all week. Thanks for you help!

- We will start eating outside again so if you could send in a blanket, towel or small mat that would be great!

- Health screenings will be taking place this and next Wednesday. An email from the Health Office was sent last week! Please read it and let Mrs. Manion know if you have any questions.
